(the registered owner's son) is 16 and unlicensed, and not included in the fathers insurance policy. I filed a claim but their insurance is saying they wont pay since the son isnt included. If it was the other driver's fault, you'd have a pretty good case liability-wise. But their insurance won't pay, not because he isn't covered but because he was driving the car illegally. Talk to a lawyer and you will most likely have to go to small claims court to get a judgment against his father to make them pay for the damages. In the mean time do you have full coverage insurance on your wrecked car, or under insured/no insurance motorist coverage? If you do then they will take care of your loss in the mean time, and it does not go against your policy/driving record how do i know i have used it. The transmission is exposed underneath the frame of the Toyota. On the transmission of a Toyota, there is a plate held in place by bolts, which can be removed with a ratchet and socket. Inside the transmission are magnets that collect all of the metal debris that accumulates while the transmission is running. To change the transmission fluid, you will need to clean the magnet with a transmission magnet cleaning solution as well as change the transmission plate seal on the inner side of the transmission plate. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need Jack Jack stands Drain pan Ratchet set Transmission magnet cleaning solvent New transmission drain plate seal Owner's manual Transmission fluid Funnel Step by Step : 1 Lift the front end of the Toyota off the ground and rest it on jack stands. Slide underneath the Toyota and locate the transmission drain plate. The drain plate is the large metal plate in the middle of the transmission. Place a drain pan under the drain plate. 2 Remove the bolts securing the transmission drain plate to the transmission with the ratchet set. Let the fluid drain out of the transmission into the drain pan. 3 Remove the seal from around the transmission drain plate then remove the magnets from inside the transmission. 4 Clean the transmission magnets with the transmission magnet cleaning solvent. Place the new transmission drain plate seal around the drain plate's edge. 5 Replace the transmission magnet onto the inside of the transmission. Replace the transmission drain plate to the transmission and tighten the securing bolts using the ratchet set. 6 Remove the jack stand with the jack and lower the front end of the Toyota to the ground. Open the hood and remove the transmission dipstick from the engine. 7 Insert a funnel into the dipstick tub and pour new transmission fluid into the transmission according to the recommendations in the owner's manual.
